We kissed in desperation
searching for answers
Fearing in our hearts
this could be our last kiss goodbye
I know I can love you much better than this
if we only had the time
But I have to go
this summer romance
will be put on hold
I'll write you each day
and tell you how much I miss you
I'll wait for your letters
when the mailman arrives
We'll talk on the phone for hours
longing to be in each other's arms
Waiting for next summer
when we'll continue this romance.
