Five thousand stars in heaven Five thousand souls at rest Five thousand souls ascended Five thousands past the test Five thousand tears been shedded Five thousand eyes are filled Five thousand prayers been spoken Five thousand people killed Five thousand hands are reaching Five thousand empty chairs Five thousand families mourning Five thousand teddy bears Five thousand reasons forming Five thousand ‘venge filled hearts Five thousand triggers waiting Five thousand funeral karts Five thousand questions burning Five thousand flags unfurled Five thousand fists a clenching Five thousand tongs are curled Five thousand bells a ringing Five thousand voiceless choirs Five thousand bullets stinging Five thousand funeral pyres Five thousand times I’m asking Five thousand times I cry Five thousand times I’m hearing Five thousand answers…….WHY? |

Wow... I really don't know what to say.. but also Why? Why did this have to happen.. that is always a good question.. very good poem nonetheless.. A Life without Love, is no life at all... |

The question "why?" is indeed the heart of this tragedy. You've done well capturing the essence of how massive the burden is upon this country and also the world. Good write!!! With my pen I shall create, |

You have spoken my heart I cannot even ask why yet, until God is ready to give the answer. Your poem is beautifully written and heartwrenching Regards Liz |
