"And the Lord set a mark upon Cain." Genesis 15 Today children as orphans awake, fresh widows reach across an empty bed, walks through life won't offer hands to take, symbols not bodies mark the graves of dead. Sons of Adam still pay for his sin and murder seems our only common thread, babeled tongues of language, different skin are not the only reason blood is shed. Envy, greed, beliefs in different God, borders, not knowing where to draw the line, liquored up, drugged, reasoning is flawed, desiring sex some even lose their mind. Sons of Cain, pre-history engage forever's game of settling the score, dispensing pain and outpours of rage for some lasting fame's only that they warred. Abel, Cain, duality of Man once isolated few would take the blame, though profane it seems to be the plan where two or more are gathered there is shame. Just a page, the annals of Man's crimes, noted because so swiftly thousands bled, enrage at the thickening book of time where self inflicted death's endlessly read. Lord we pray this homocide to cease, what hope have we, Your own Son victimized? For Adam we've paid let there be peace, lift the curse not our children penalize. |

RSWells, I'm all prayed out, but I still hold the impossible dream. Well done. |

Yes...It seems too much to bear in the face of who or what done it. It seems there is always a ready Cain in the waiting. These times are a changing! For we are asking God to fulfill his word so our children can go untainted, unscared. I'm afraid it would take just that. A miracle. And I believe in miracles. Prayers and Peace. Sincerely, Regina |

Very well written RSWells, and much to ponder. With historical lessons of time ... one would hope for understanding and peace. Perhaps some day, man will learn his lessons ... Best wishes, /Kit |
