What would you do to continue the kiss of freedom?
To shield the delicate evolution of human affection,
To protect the birth of love and chastity.
Even in it's naked babe of growth and learning?

What would you do to maintain the safety of devotion
To that which we feel created us? Gives us home. And blesses
us with seeds to carry on.

In the throes of Humanity we can only grasp
The remember of what we once were
I still hold tight to the evidence being born daily!
Making us still more capable with each breath.

I am compelled to guard heavy with iron resolve, our young,
our old, our growing both in between. For all those that
offer a heartseat and look lovingly into the face of human
grace.

Forgive me Lord, As even I, a Mother, would gate my core
with bars
Fortressed with a mile of steel impenetrable
By anything known.
Just to see that my Children and Your Children go untouched.
With the last shred of my dignity and strength.
In the name of life and for all the trust still clinging
To the lap of satiny softness, reaching out to fellow man.

For no evil will make me let go of the hand I will hold.
No mad man will tear from me my hope that all creatures,
great and small, deserve to feel safe
In the seat of their birthright.

As for me...I would claw all evil into a smear that would
only be recognizable by the open mouthed scream left for
others to see in warning.

Does that make me less of a woman? A mother? A caring soul?
If so, I’m afraid I must then return to the rib of man
And become part of his life-force
That helps to hold up the right hand for freedom.
For I do not want to be faced with that image
And I’m not afraid to carry it out.
Forgive me and guide me to your lap Oh Lord I pray.

Rwood,
A wonderful write and I agree. For there is no way to create a balanced humanity.

Well I looked to the sky for my anthem
The words and the music came through
But words and music can never touch
The beauty that I've seen in you

Such evil threat makes a parents task difficult. How can one possibly explain such a thing? It's a mess we're in and we're doing the best we can. Excellent write Regina.

It worries me how I will cope, since the anger is coming in waves. Not many expect a female to feel harshly. We are to love one another. The thing is....I am free to feel and to express. Which I don't think the evil ones remember that we women have a voice and a very strong one. Their women have none. Even our children have a voice. He'd better take that into consideration! Especially if they make it out to be a Holy War. Anything Holy would have to carry the voice of all. So he's already a failure.
I appreciate all of you. So very much!

Sincerely,
Regina

Again..I am touched by the depths of your heart and feelings... not one of us would want our children to have anything but the safety and security of true peace..now it is up to us to insure we do all we can to make that a reality again... very nicely said...very nicely written...
