Today I saw a lady cry Today I saw a lady cry, I saw death come from the sky, People trapped in burning buildings, Others fighting to get near them, Clouds of smoke and debris, Anguished cries of agony. Today I saw a lady cry, as she watched her children die, Tears were falling down like rain, Life will never be the same. Today I saw a lady cry, And yet her torch she still held high, As I gazed upon it, It was blinding like the sun, For it was the torch of justice, And justice will be done. P.J. McFadden 16.09.2001 This I would like to dedicate to all my friends in America My thanks to Balladeer from whose poem “The day I saw my Lady cry” I took my inspiration.
