We all saw and felt it.. that giant tear that fell from the eye of The Statue of Liberty But I looked around and saw thousands standing in line to wipe away that tear And day by day they have written words to wipe the tear completely away from the lady in the harbor The Statue of Liberty |

So sad, isn't it, I would not doubt that she was crying. I know I am. Peace Sandra |

Alan, thanks for being here. Every voice I hear at this site is like a big warm hug. It's obvious to me that the terrorists have already lost this battle. The world is rallying behind our lady in the harbor. |

Enchantress...thanks. I am sure Miss Liberty will soon be wiping away the fears and tears of thousands, as she has done so many times in the past. |

Sandra. Look up at Miss Liberty. She is standing proud and tall, and ready to wipe your tears. |

Ah, Marge. You were undoubtedly one of the first in line to wipe Miss Liberty's tears. |

You speak of compassion for us all, but I think she still crys, and will for some time. Great poem. ~*Be Kind To Your Fellow Man, Lend Him A Helping Hand, Put A Little Love In Your Heart*~ |

What a lovely way you compress our sorrow into that one sad tear from Lady Liberty. Joyce |

Mysteria: I understand what you are saying about Miss Liberty still crying. I myself am still crying off and on, but each time I see a broadcast about Jeremy on flight 93, and Father Mike, and the Firemen and Police heros, my resolve is stronger...the acts of terrorism in this world have to end. Everyone deserves to stand under the shelter of Liberty...and there should be justice for all. So I choose to end the reign of these terrorists in my own heart and mind, and refuse to let them steal my freedom. |

Thanks again, Joyce. You always seem to be here, for me, and for others. Now we must extend ourselves to thousands who are suffering, including all the Arab-Americans and Muslims in this country who are being assaulted just because they are Arabic or Islamic. Miss Liberty cried for them too. |

Midnitesun: Excellent poem! Although we still cry I think it's a bit less as time goes on. Now we have a monumental job ahead of us.......finding those responsible and putting an end to their terrorist activities. Betty Lou Hebert |

Blooming Rose: Thanks, Deb. Let's plant rose bushes for the ones we lost. Unfortunately, it's hard to do roses in Alaska, but I'm considering sending $ to someone who will plant a red rose bush for my daughter and I in honor of our fallen friends. Trillium: Yes, we need to bring them to justice so they may face their maker, which is what they said they wanted anyway. Won't they be surprised though when it isn't the wonderful merciful gentle God they expected to see. |
