A Rose for Each Soul A blood red rose as diadem Translucent beauty on a stem As soothing as a velvet glove A vesture of our heart and love Cut, dethroned below the bell Honey sweet with heavens smell. Offered up in sympathy Placed in waters empathy. Symbolic symbol placed a pond The dust of litters great beyond Watered with the tears of goals Promises of hearts and souls You are our cry of Alamo Death for a death its credo We will not rest until it’s done For we will strike each blow as one This apple has a rotten core And will stink forever more. |
