~*~ Kaleidoscope Creation ~*~

~* A collaborate poem *~
by Mysteria and Martha Dawn Cowan

Tonight, the moon will cast its shadow;
Mirror reflections on heaven's lake,
And serenely a harp is playing softly,
The sleeping angels are now all awake.

They spread their wings and stretch,
As they awake from their celestial sleep,
On clouds of the softest, fluffy cotton,
Where they all laid counting sheep.

The world below, a kaleidoscope creation,
Somehow it is never clearly understood,
Why mankind is in competition and
Always forsaking a sense of brotherhood.

Each race united so separately,
All scrambling to reach the finish line.
Yet, bound by their disunity,
Unstable grounds confine.

They gaze down in sadness from the heavens,
On a world filled with so much beauty,
And wait for tonight's instructions,
Ready for their earthly guard duty.

Gentle souls asleep had prayed for guidance,
From the heavenly Creator up above.
And an army of angels now ready themselves,
To protect ALL his children with love.

Looking down in sadness they see,
A rainbow of hands clasped in prayers,
Whispering words of love and hope,
To a heavenly Father whom cares.

They see hands of all sizes and colors,
Black, yellow, red and white,
Praying for peace and love on earth,
This beautiful, star-studded night.

Children pray that parents gain insight,
Understand and try to see some good,
In those they don't want to get to know,
Angry souls sometimes misunderstood.

They pray for the victims of this tradegy,
And those poor souls whose hearts are ill.
For those whose minds will never be the same,
What they've seen can't be treated with any pill.

They wondered why the color of a person's skin,
Even mattered at all, and sets them so apart,
When a smile is just a smile after all,
And isn't a heart still just a heart?

Let us try to see the world as God does,
In a panchromatic light,
Remind us there's a heart and soul,
In yellow, black, and red, or white.

Teach us how to see beyond our hate,
A distorted image in our eyes,
Beyond skin, race or creed,
Into a soul where sight can't compromise.

The angels slowly, then descended,
Some were white, yellow, black and red,
And they waited for children to sleep,
As angels do, hovering over their bed.

They touched them with their angel dust,
To protect each of them with love,
And kissed each of them on the cheek,
As gently and soft as the down on a dove.

The golden sun was beginning to rise,
Upon heaven's crystal lake, so clear,
Panoramic evidence that in the night,
Angel's had paid all a visit here.

Looking down with hopeful sighs,
They send a prayer with all God's love,
That we all can see each other,
Just as He does from above.

This is so beautiful...you two penned magic here.......
If only the world could run on this kind of tolerence and humanity...
there would be nothing to fight about.
Wonderful writing ladies...very well done
jm

Well I looked to the sky for my anthem
The words and the music came through
But words and music can never touch
The beauty that I've seen in you

Janet Marie ~* Thank you, and if we all keep shouting out that we want equality, peace, and want the madness to stop, maybe this time our voices will be heard.

Mysteria
This was so wonderfully written by you and Martha.  The world as we know it will never be the same and I'm sure that after such a tragedy people will rethink their priorities and realise that love and understanding should conquer all.  We need to unite and stop all this hatred and bitterness between races or it will kill us all.  Thank you so much for saying what we all feel.  I can assure you that even though we are so far away, the people of Australia feel your pain and wish we could do more.  Take care....Sue

Melissa - I thank you

Sue - I have friends in Australia whose hearts are aching as deeply as mine for all the victims, their loved ones, etc. but what I saw today in a peaceful middle to upper class neighbourhood playground turned my stomach as some children here spit on a muslim child and called her names.  Then the Fathers got into a fight.  I pray parents keep their anger and hatred to themselves, or they will only raise children like the very ones we are now trying to hunt down.  Thank you Sue, and love sent your way too - hugs.
