In Viper's Coil

~*Marge Tindal*~

From 'neath the rock of other soil
the cowardly viper lay in coil
We missed the rattle he did impart
as his venom struck deep in America's heart

As we now apply the anti-venom
to the wounds of this sorrowing nation
Rest assured the snake handlers
prepare for terrorist extermination

Though you slither to your bunker snake
it's not deep enough for you to hide
We will penetrate your nest
and nail your sorry diamond hide

Slither, slither - scum of the earth
your fortune just won't suffice
to protect your lousy hide
when the exterminators bite you twice

Joined with other nations
in coups de main of retribution
We'll skin and hang you on our walls
And as surely as we do
the world will cheer in exaltation
<~~ Counting coup ~~>

This is right on target! Wish the scum could read it but I know he will read the message one way or the other.  So many songs keep coming to mind.. when I read this poem the song "these boots are made for walking and that's just what they'll do" and we know the rest of the lines to it... Freedom lovers know The Eagel will not be defeated by a serpent.

Marge-
And the anti-venom slowly takes effect...
and the snake handlers continue to prepare...

You've said it well, my friend, and
in a strong, clear voice for all to hear.
  Hugs,
  ~Vicky

"...until you have read the verse on his heart,
you have not truly met the poet.

One year later ... sadly we haven't gotten close to the viper's lair~
We must press onward with vigor and determination~
