One Mother's Sacrificial Lamb

Is there enough love up in heaven,
To make up for the love left behind?
We hope You have room for them there, Lord
We know You are loving and kind.
We have loved them since they were but babies,
And that love multiplied through the years.
Are they happy enough up in heaven
To make up for their own mothers' tears?

My own son was young and so good Lord.
I never saw him commit a bad deed.
He was always ready to help out,
If he noticed someone with a need.
Please find him a job in Your heaven,
The kind that will make him feel needed.
For he had his work here below, and left
Some that he hadn't completed.

I don't know what his last earthly thoughts were,
I hope that he didn't feel pain.
I know he's just one of the many
Whose lives were all given in vain.
That's why we are grieving so hard, Lord.
And I know that I'm only one.
Tomorrow I'll cry for the others.
Today I must weep for my son.

Joyce, I am speechless, and this cry from a Mother's heart will surely be answered. All Mothers' are in my prayers.
