this was inspired by the scenes over t.v., where out of the rubble, I viewed two people walking toward the video camera, a splash of colors in the center of all the gray surrounding them...though the gray was making an attempt to cover their promise of vibrant life prevailing, it was only a dusting atop their heads and shoulders--it was as a promise, the rainbow's promise of hope of healing, even though very far away...the time it would take for the color of life to spread to cover the gray's circumference crumbs grit paper snowflakes ashes, ashes it all fell down piles of material heaps of beings- yet souls are freed from many of humanities number as bodies slumber or weep away last tears gray engulfs the scene rises higher and higher after the spire in the fire disintegrated to little more than remnants of what had been yet there in the midst of all the shades of gray emerges a rainbow of color of hope as lovers of life dusted with gray powder walk and labor give their favor to seek the lost tossing gray away ever slowly bringing color to replace the grizzled scene as tiny drips of promise out of a rainbow’s vow of life ascends the destruction beginning steps to renewal today even sick music is a melody for it means, though nothing less has occurred, there is nothing more to add to the woe © September 13, 2001 **** also, a news commentator remark about the expanse of material reduced to dust and rubble that was once massive structures filled with 1000's of lives |

"in the midst of all the shades of gray emerges a rainbow of color of hope" thanks for sharing this. Hopes and prayers are exactly what we need right now. ((hugs)) [This message has been edited by RosePetal (edited 09-13-2001).] |
