On a Tuesday in September
The day's events, we could not foresee,
But like another day, decades ago
It "will live in infamy!"

For on this Tuesday in September
All hell broke loose, or so it seemed,
Meant to humble us as a nation
And to destroy "The American Dream!"

On this day of incredible loss
For many, came the end of the world,
By unconscionable terrorist attacks
Whose multiple assaults were hurled!

On this day in September
The 21rst Cent'ry came of Age,
Showing increasing instability
Prompted by godless men in their rage.

This day will be one etched in Blood
This saddest of days in September,
When America's security was brutally raped--
This darkest day, we will remember!
[GOD HELP US ALL!]

Yes, may God help us all, and God help the sick minds who could think up such horror to dish out on innocent people!  You expressed your thoughts supremely well, here, and I appreciate them all.  Thank you for this one!

The road goes on forever, and the stories never end...

This is indeed a sad September Day.. and I believe the world will see American's binding together and becoming stronger. We certainly are finding out who are true friends are on the globe.

Very well written! This day will indeed be remembered. It's shame there is so much hatred in the world.

David,

its a shame that such a senseless tragedy happened and even more so when some others are celebrating...

Yes, Let us be now humble in his power, but never that of a terrorist. So sad David, and clinging to him. I know more now in the face of tragedy, but still I will. Thank you for sharing this. Hugs!

Sincerely,
Regina
