     A Mother Prays

rushing I painted blood outside my door
for God to see and angel in passing soar
inside I cry bold silent tears
sitting next to folded olive drab fears
this time I can not write this thing away
my son is a man I have no say
I sit here waiting on the edge of needles deep
waiting for a call I dread will speak
telling my son it’s time to go
as the blood of my country is deep in flow
our fist are raised with clinch in rage
for this world and selfishness a mother prays

"...the rest is silence" (Hamlet)  Shakespeare

Yes, May he see that no other innocents have to lay down their lives. I pray for you and all. If it comes to it, may it be swift and quick as lightening. God bless.

Hugs!

Sincerely,
Regina

the candles are lit here for all military, my daughter included, and I have two sons, 18 and 24.  My family is deeply rooted in the military....this is the most horrible thing that has ever happened to our country and to me personally and has awakened me to what is really important.  God bless  you, Helen and yes, we must have the covering of the blood of Jesus Christ on our lives to be set apart and safe...that is the only safety

To you and all who have children being called into service, they will be in God's hands.  But it is so hard for mother's to say "Thy will be done".  God only lets us borrow His babies and can take them back at any time.  But, again, as mother's how can we remember this.  Prayers, hugs and love be with you all, ME
