So many of us are easily brainwashed Some are drawn towards fortune and fame Magazines portray the "perfect figure" So many are selfish and vain We're told if you have a beautiful body You can get almost anywhere in this life There's no excuse for not being "perfect" One can always go under the surgeon's knife This world seems consumed by vanity Beyond the mirror they just don't see None of us are more special that the other We're all made from the same fabric you and me In a world miles away from the glamour Far away from the silver and gold There are so many needy people Who spend their lives out in the cold No bright lights are here to surround them They have no basic comforts or home They spend night after night without love Feeling afraid and so very alone Some people live only for money They become consumed by self satisfaction and greed Without even a thought for others Who crave just the simplest of needs But those who have the most valuable possession Are those who are caring, warm and kind Their thoughtfulness knows no boundaries They're like a precious jewel that's hard to find We are all considered to be "beautiful" In our own individual way A good heart is certainly priceless Like a beautiful sunset at the end of the day Suetang |
