Soft cool air, a breathtaking view
a perfect day spent alone with you.
Birds crying off in the distance
serenity flowing in, no resistance.

We listen quietly, wind singing it's song
a day such as this could not be wrong.
A mist settles over mountains in our sight
upon steady winds the bird takes flight.

Mountains rise majestically overhead
to natures calling we're quietly lead.
In this beautiful and calming place
we sit together in the wide open space.

Here alone, together as time stands still
there are no words to describe the feel.
A prayer for these feelings to never cease
we breathe the essence, this place of peace.

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.

Serenely beautiful, Donna...  looks like you too have found your "Rome"...  (see my poem, "Roman Nights", in the archives).  Very nicely written, exuding a feeling of peace and content.

Wonderful and peaceful, the rhymes were great

Throw your heart out in front of you
And run out to catch it.

Well I looked to the sky for my anthem
The words and the music came through
But words and music can never touch
The beauty that I've seen in you
