Dew on her petals, sun on her stem, My Rose awakens to meet the day, Morning steam rising from the glen The soft wind causing a gentle sway. Stretching her face to meet the sun, Her petals rich and lush, She'll bask in it til day is done And grow with a gentle push. She'll feel the warmth across her green, And know that fall is near And know that time itself twould seem Has nothing for her to fear. For in the ending of her days When darkness claims this one She'll know I loved her in many ways, My Rose, My love, My one. Knowlege tempered by wisdom...Wisdom tamed by youth. |
