You have heard my sorrow song Its bile fingers penetrating your throat Each word hangs to your mouth on a hook. I grow weary of this, for today at least I am smugly tasting unadulterated peace. The water's stillness reflects light Stars sparkling on a crest fallen wave, The ripples tickle bathing skin In embryo purity I have not yet been baptised to your hollow eyed misery. Let the cavern ears carry my joyful echo I am laughing, shattering still sorrows to myself in this moment of bliss. ------------------ This poem exists for no better reason than just to exist, it is like a silly rhyme or simple thought It is a short holiday from miserable dissection and inner pondering think of this as not a statement but..... A SMILE. ------ My muse left me alone, forcing me to venture through my dusty archives and I found this little thing once posted in Dark 2. "Here I am in prison, here I am with a ball and chain There is whiskey in the jar-o" Traditional irish song. [This message has been edited by brian madden (edited 07-16-2001).] |
