Happily ever after
I have heard this many a time
In fairy tales of love so true
In every single rhyme

I ponder why can't that be me
To find my one true love
Every night I pray to god
For a sign from up above

Tell me who I am destined to find
I must know who it will be
Who I will love for all my life
And her love always for me

I thought I had found it once
The woman whom I adored
Who saved me from my sea of turmoil
Who pulled me to the shore

This lovely angel I called my friend
Whom I fell in love so dear
Knowing my love would never fade
Even in the passing years

Remembering our first kiss
To hold her in my arms
I would have died a thousand deaths
Than to see her come to harm

Then one day, she changed how she felt
She left me all alone
Crying at night so many tears
With no one to call my own

I look up into the starry sky
I make this silent prayer
"god please when I open my eyes
I'll find you standing there"

With a smile so gentle and
A kind and loving heart
Holding each other so very close
Never wanting us to part

You look into my eyes so bright
Your tender lips like morning dew
We kiss as we did so long ago
Then as if a dream, you say "I love you"

I open my eyes so full of hope
And seeing that you aren't there
I cry silent tears as I wonder
If god will ever hear my prayer

So goodnight my long lost love
I hope you know it's true
That nothing here on god's green earth
Compares to the love I hold for you

Oh this is just so, so beautiful. This is a piece I could have written, for every single word of it is what I feel for my long lost love. I thank you for putting my heart into words. I must add this to my library.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?
