Dream stealer I beg you, go away
I have my plan to make good this day
I want to love, be loved in return
It's not so much, I'm sure I have earned.

Take not the dreams of my truest heart
Stop trying to take and rip apart
Reality ,come another day
Give me a chance to feel this real way

Stop interfering, for it can be
just leave it alone, let me be me.
I need just one thing, not so much, true
If life will leave me alone to do

One person could make it work, you see
it may be too late; it may be free.
If the dream stealer will go away
I think there's a chance, goodbye to pain.

I won't give in to harshness of life
I swear there's escape, just let me try

We need to do something about the "dream stealers"... Lonliness, poverty, and non-PC's are the dream stealers. Where are the "dream makers"? Wonderful write...

the stealer of dreams
in the depths of what seems
can be nightmare or bliss
in a kiss of extremes,
while holding your heart
in the realm of departure,
so stark the fruition
of woven in seams

the stealer of dreams
is a thief in the night
on a vision of patterns
which echo delight
and i banish him quickly
from ever and none

since nobody can ever

Wow, too many good replies to reply to. Nice poems Doreen, on both, and Mark, that shall be my new mantra, that 4 part formula. I actually am working on it.
