He  Joined  The  Angels

Finally earth's gravity was broken and his spirit was free

He could leave the broken, battered, bruised vessel to soar

With the angels and enter at Heaven's gate to live with Thee

And on this earth where pain lived he did close the door

The sparkle once again in his eyes, the smile reaching the sky

He can sing, play the Heavenly instruments in Your orchestra

Live in the sun rise and sun set, no longer just watch 'cuz he can fly

Of course he will visit those most dear but he will return to Allah

His mate of many years watched over his earthly body faithfully

Every day to hold his hands, touch the shell where he had been

She knew this day would come, the time when he would be free

How she prayed him healed, to keep him with her forever, but death did win

No more walks in the sunshine to see natures gifts will they share

The smiles and laughter are now precious memories to hold close

She was his helpmate and became his care giver, her cross to bear

But it was time for him to go, time for her to heal, time to give what she loved most

Robert was a good 'ol Southern boy, Texan to the very core

He loved his family, his friends, the great outdoors

Always a smile, a hug, as a friend you couldn't ask for more

He is now in Heaven and with the angels does soar

Tracey, he was such a special loving person.  The last several years in a nursing home. But now he is at peace

He has gone off to a far better place
and we can only dream of what peace
he is experiencing.  Great write.

ME, what a beautiful and moving write.  May his spirit soar and may he rest in the arms of angels.  *s*

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.
