Rachel And Goosey Lucy
~*Marge Tindal*~

Such a sweet little picture
lays fresh upon my mind
Of a special little girl
who was so very kind

Rachel is her name
and with her Lucy kitty
They wiled away the hours
both of them looking pretty

My mind photographed this scene
it seems like only yesterday
Rachel and her Goosey Lucy
spent many an hour in play

Now Rachel's grown tall and lovely
and Lucy's grown lazy it's true
But I've a picture in my mind
that reminds my heart of these two

Happy Birthday, Rachel Allison Siess
Though you turned the Big 18
you'll always remain a snapshot
of that special 'little girl' in your Aunt Margie's eyes.

Happy Birthday to grownup Rachel
And this Goosey Lucy Kitty cat

She's become eighteen and Lucy fat

Beautiful poem and a beautiful girl!  Hope life is really good to her.  The picture is darling! Today was my sister's birthday and I have been thinking about her a lot, so your poem kind of eased a painful spot!
