The Shadows Are Back Its one of those days when nothing is wrong but nothing is right Its just a feeling that hurts from the inside out Nothing I can describe and I'm fighting with all my might You know..you can't see it or hear it but darn its all about I don't think these silent screams in my head will last forever But while they live inside me I have no place go to hide Why do I get these feelings of doom when the sun is shining not stormy weather I'm brused and battered without a mark..up..down..together..divide Smile through tears..rhyme without reason..calm before the storm But why..I want to yell at the moon..rant and rave Close my eyes and ears to the outside..thoughts wait for the new refreshed morn This too will pass,,smiles will be real..calmness prevail..time a renovating wave |

Why do I get these feelings of doom when the sun is shining not stormy weather I've been asking myself this all summer. As you say...eventually it will pass. |

MotherEarth~ This is just a wonderfully written piece from you~ Maybe ya' ought to consider tucking those shadows in real tight~ No stuff ... this is GREAT STUFF ! ! *Hugs* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

Great poem...tells it like it is! Have to face those things but like you say they go away! I always appreciate it when a poet gets these topics out on the written page!! |

Duncan, they pass but are still lurking in the shadows? Thanks for stopping by Marge, I'm going to paint all the corners white so they can't hide! After reading your Poem about White Buffalo Woman, I had to feel better. Hugs ethome, thanks and with PIP friends the shadows have to go! Bytterflies my kid, lets hope we both can see the sunshine. It can be so elusive though. Love and hugs |

M.E. this is a cleverly penned poem... you've taken some classic cliches and thrown in some turn of phrase and word play and wrapped it up in rhyme. And when its all said and done you captured the dark and the light in our shades of gray. Well done poetess...we all gotta sing the blues now and then. jm "Failure is not in the falling down ... |

Janet Marie, maybe some can sing the blue's, but singing is NOT something you would like to hear from me....fingernails on the chalk board. Thanks for the visit |
