The river reed Of cornfield bottoms Traipsing cow paths In butter cup alleys A stick is a stick And fishin's good Thumping ground for bait Climb a tree and escape Till the Sasquatch Chase you home Time for bathing Sun down and tin tubs Boar hair brushes Ivory soap Honeysuckle Lullabies Put on your wheels and glide Valley of the Barbie Dolls Child of bell bottomed pride Looking like trumpetstiltskin Saturday Night Fever Every day of the week Sporting Dorothy Hamill Days at Zuma Beach What is the meaning of "Gag me with a spoon"? Why would anyone ask Someone to do that? Stick me with a fork! Crash landing White sands of Gulf New meat, Sweat Meat Loaf! And then some Twangs of electric pangs Bikini rare. What a difference a Band Aid Can make to the bare. Outing in blooming space Lifting lighters in concerto Of jackals taking a chain saw Across the necks of guitars Hair going up in flames All over the Dome Aqua Net hazards Bang your head! What? I can't hear you! My makeup is too loud! How wholesome it can be To regress Way back To when you were nothing But freckled milk |

Loved this. But Duncan took the exact words right out of my mouth. Those were the phrases that I found hilarious too. Charming look back on the days that we sometimes would rather forget!! Tracey If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |

This is magic, Regina...the cultural references---your rhythm of thought...very much reminding me of another favorite passions female poet (doreen peri) with jet lightning thought frames... HEY...you've got a fan in ME!!!! Wow... |

Regina Yet another wonderful piece of writing from you. How great it is to reminisce about the old days, I know I love doing that. The seventies were my era and I still love listening to the music of that time and remembering the fashions and everything else. Take care.....Sue Suetang |
