Will you love me truly... And if so, for how long? Will you wrap strong, loving arms Around me, hold me close, Protect me, keep my heart From harm? Will you love me sweetly... Gently, with each light caress? Will you touch my lips with Such soft kisses, those you know I love, love so, the intimate Meshing I love the best? Will you love me staunchly... Will you beat off any foe? Would you fight for me, Send off in woe my enemy? Would you stand before me, And guard me from the storm, Would you transform the thunder For me, in your heart's room, Warm and safely? Would you love me wisely? Not despise me, and persevere? Would you accept my love for you... My love, would you guide me Into a port of comfort, Steer me away from wrong, Would you teach me good things, The beauty, bounty of life? My love, would yours compliment mine? Would my cup, your love pour into, And overflow with my reciprocation? Would you love me, keep me, hold me, Keep me from dejection, help me Be the person I know I can? Will you, will you love me? |
