Rain crossed parking lot
shellacking steel, glass, concrete's
thunderous applause

Whirling winds whip waves
as anchored arbors assay
bent boughs buoyancy

Dryly dirt defers
requesting rain reschedual
mist mediates mud

Cumulonimbus
a Falstaff whose tipiness
bellows roars with pours

Darkly draws the cloak
encompassing earth as smoke
flashing strokes, flushed soaks

I wield the flail of the lashing hail,
and whiten the green plains under,
and then again I dissolve it in rain,
and laugh as I pass in thunder
-The Cloud - Shelley

Excellent imagery.
And, we're finally getting some rain in south Texas.

Great haikus. Fun, especially that one word sentence. Wow, not easy to come up with that word!

These were absolutely fantastic haiku, and I love the first as this was just such a grat visual combination of words Richard:
"shellacking steel"  - wow, you are really good at these!  And.....

Fantastic use of the Haiku.  Well written and constructed.
