Rain Or Tears

Cold water,
sky-tears falling,
mingling with the hot, salty ones
flowing down my cheeks,
pieces of heart,
lots of you,
being carried away
in their rush to the ground.
Was it today,
or yesterday;
a month ago,
last year?
When doesn't matter,
why…does;
cold shoulder -
I've seen it before,
in others,
never thought
it'd happen to me.
Rain stopped,
tears still there,
today,
tomorrow,
don't know when
they'll quit;
rivulets forming
on the ground,
rain, or tears…
tears,
washing you away.

Broken hearts are hard to mend and poetry may not mend one, but a good poem does help ease the pain...well done
