What sets you on fire?
Not in the literal sense
In the passion sense
Not in the lustfull sense
In the lasting sense
Like the smell of shaving cream
On a fresh face
That you help shave
While you carefully trace
Each curve and shape
Of the one you love
Certainly
It does something for me
The little things
Are what keeps everything
From becoming
Past tense
To me it makes perfect sense
To have a passion
For the lasting scents of him

I'm with you on this one Regina, it is certainly the little things that mean the most, not the material things......and there's nothing like the smell of aftershave I reckon! Take care.........Sue

Oh the sweet lingering smells of the one you love. I really liked this.

Ah Regina, the last one loved to watch me shave and I silently enjoyed her fascination. I would save my cleft chin till the end because she always marvelled over it and I wanted her to stay next to me as long as possible.

In love and in writing, and in everything I suppose . . .
Nice lines!

AH the beautiful warmth of love's familiarity! Those little things a seasoned lover senses and looks for.   Excellent render!

Lovely, and I agree, there are certain things that you hold close, often very small things.
And scents are a big one for me, just the smallest hint of the cologne of a loved one from many years ago, and I can feel everything again.
Nice work, as always.
