What Would You Do???? What Would You Say????

What would you say?
If I packed my bags for a day
Maybe a night
Would you be alright?

Would you notice me gone?
Would you call my cell phone?
Or would you simply sleep
Without me at your feet?

Would you party til dawn?
Throw up on the lawn?
Would my boys start to cry?
Would you tell them I died?

If I decided not to return
Would you water my ferns?
Or would you let them all wilt?
Would you feel any guilt?

Would you fill all my shoes
With any woman that you choose?
Would she sleep in my spot?
Be something I'm not?

Would she stay with you long?
Would you admit when you're wrong?
Would she love you even more
Than I used to before?

If I decided to stay gone
And didn't bother to call home
Would you wish me the best?
Would you consider it a rest?

Or would you change your address?

What would you do when you were gone?...Sad that sometimes it comes to this...when someone does not feel appreciated at home they consider other possibilities...James

A good consistent rhyme scheme. Thought provoking questions! You touched on a lot of personal points and they deserve answers.......good poem!
