In a corporeal internship...

Buried
Embers
Of old

Illuminating

Under
Layers of
Shadows

Smoke
Creeping
Slowly
Through

The
Desolate

Frost-bitten
Thinking

Onward

Mark.....I'm thinking......mmmmm....

I like the way you toss few words to make a seemingly endless ripples......

To where do these ripples lead?

Your words make it quite calmly alluring to contemplate all that.....
Wonderful....

Thank you....

A torch still simmering maybe? Funny but I felt you were talking bout me there for a minute. As I love a bonfire and watch it from back porch in the winter.

My Melody, when words are skipped across a still pond of experience, the ripples tend to go in the same direction, but if it is a river of emotion, feelings can overwhelm the ripples in the direction of those senses.  I guess it also depends upon how those words are skipped...?  Thank you for the read and reply -- it is always my pleasure to elicit some thoughts...

Cindi, just the fact that I inspired some thought is good enough, but I thank you for the reply and kind sentiment.

Ava, indeed a torch of sorts...  Once more, I am fascinated by the myriad of impressions and interpretations that this series calls forth...  Thank you for the read and reply.  (I prefer bon-fires at the beach, personally, but they are a magical thing, in their own right, aren't they?)

I feel lost love that haunts. Rekindled in the soul yet it is not. The heart plays onward. Ecellent write Mark, your 20 or less really make me think.

Throw your heart out in front of you
And run out to catch it.

Crashing waves
upon the shore
Encircling my thoughts
Ebbing onward
