Summer Cotillion Virginia Salter grasses full of seed wave their perpendicular across cyclone diamonds recording the width, breadth and pace of morning breeze long, green stems topped in golden kernels dancing in rhythm moved by the spirit of Mariah lacy forest-fern flags rubekiah with kisses and caresses in the morning sun though steadfast to mother earth, they oscillate in pure joy of lovely sun’s rays and wind’s power shared © July 15, 2001 |

come now, Sandra, I was in NH in Sept/Oct 98 and I loved both days there, what a beautiful state you have...of course I was in the southern portion of the state doing a fall foliage tour of New England. Perhaps you're more northern. Anyway, I was near ready to moreve to Maine, New Hampshire or Vermont and join the wondrous fodder for poets of American history. thanks for reading and commenting! |
