we repaint the sky with
shades of azure and pink
and edge it with gold
We add some seagulls to our canvas
as they fly towards the horizon
in search of the setting sun

On our final canvas we paint
a moonlit night reserved for lovers
as their passions and desires
unfold beneath the seductive
light of the moon

Two star-crossed lovers
with eyes only for one another
arms entwined
passions ignited
surrendering to love
as they climb the highest peak of desire
and reach the summit of love
