Where the Highway Ends (New Jersey) If I ran away to a different place so far away from here, (yes, leave without a trace), could I later say that it was worth the trip as I throw back a beer and bite my bottom lip? It may be all the same no matter where I go; just a different name Like a Bob Newhart show. But there's nothing here to do and there's nothing here to see. The carnival is in town but it really isn't me. And the days are never new and this place gives me the bends. I think I'm going to drown here, here where the highway ends. |

But there's nothing here to do and there's nothing here to see. The carnival is in town but it really isn't me. And the days are never new and this place gives me the bends. I think I'm going to drown here, here where the highway ends. these lines capture the feeling of being trapped and dying a slow death in a place you don't want to be... very well done. |

The angst of needing an outlet, an adventure. Know this well. But don't change your name, change your address. Go where your heart leads you. The drive for something different is very well expressed. Sincerely, Regina |
