For I Am Angelina ... ~*Marge Tindal*~  Far across your memories there lies another in your heart. Even though she's gone from life, her memory did not depart. Though I have loved you dearly, your pain is killing me. For I am only Angelina and never will I be your Sarah of the mist, the girl that haunts your dreams. Oh, Caleb of my heart, though you swear in the light of day she is but a forgotten memory, the sadness of your eyes gives you quite away. Though my body fills your arms throughout a long, long night of weep, I am not, and can never be, the one your heart calls Sarah, whose name you moan in your sleep. Do you know me, Caleb ? I am only your Angelina of this day. I'd almost rather be a memory to have you love me in Sarah's way. For I am Angelina ... do you want that I should stay ? Think carefully, my sweet Caleb, or I, too, will be flown away. Now I must go tell him~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

Beautiful Marge, and love the story line too, there is nothing worse than being in competition with a memory of a lost love, a car, or a football game! Opps got off the track there a bit, but got divorced over a clicker once for the t.v. LOL Seriously this was a wonderful piece of poetry I loved it! Marge, Way back in the olden days people wrote poetry like this, we now read them and call them greats....I hope someday my children will read YOUR poems and call you one of the greats.
