I bless the paper
with my words
words of pain
words of sadness
rarely words of
excitement

I express
the many emotions
that are built up
inside of me
poetry is my heart
it's what I live for

poetry is my escape
into a world where
only I exist
and there's no such
thing as wrong or right
happy or sad

inside my words
only I exist
and no one can take
my place through
my poetry

I haven't read anything by you before but let me tell you that this certainly affected me. This is exactly how I feel about poetry, it's something that is mine, all mine and no one can ever touch it!

Hi! Trina, I'm new here and I have to applaud this very well written inner emotional read. You've touched a part of me as well. I think all poets to a degree have this sanctuary where they escape and are untouchable. Let it flow~~~~ It flows so beautifully straight from your sincere and loving

I thought it was just ocd

not really,

I do write compulsively

I do write prolificly

but I love it, I love it

and you've summed it up in such a nice way!

Use the poetry to your advantage, Trina. It can heal you if you allow it to. Write your hurt, pain, dreams, and fantasies. You just may be surprised at the outcome.

Thanx, I'm trying so hard to do that. I guess I'm pretty good with the pain part, as for the dreams and fantasies I just haven't gotten there yet since that would require me to be positive which I rarely find myself being.
