Haven't we met before in a previous life? Where you and I ran through the fields of wildflowers and lay in the long tall grass by the lake Where we fed each other strawberries as we became intoxicated with our love for one another In our world we had peace we respected nature and we loved our fellow man But what has happened to our world now? Power greed and jealousy seem to dominate so much of this world A world that is so consumed with self satisfaction vanity and disrespect The tenderness and innocence has been stripped from our young who now seem void of direction and hope So much fear and hatred is poisoning the minds of this new generation What happened to our sweet innocent age where lovers walked without fear through the fields of beauty and tranquility without a care in the world? A fantasy, perhaps? Interesting, the progression of this. |

Oh, the days of courting, and picking out the stars in completely innocent bliss. I'm afraid they gave way to moshing and picking out the image of their new tattoo. If we could only take them back. But then I'm afraid they'd be bored. Not knowing what to do in the past fields of life. I guess we'll just have some private reveries of such a lovely time. Wonderfully written. As always. Sincerely, Regina |
