Archives Of The Heart ~*Marge Tindal*~  Deep the canyons of the soul where echoes do abound Bringing me in focused recall of memories bouncing 'round A night of lone repining brought me to these hills Seeking solaced comfort much against my will Out across this focus of blue I flung my voice to the wind Someone heard my plaintive cry and folded me within O' the floodgates opened with thought of thoughts held long A memory here, a memory there lifted my voice in song Tenderly I've shared the memories of thoughts so gently worn From the archives of my heart a melody was born How now do I say with gratitude what my heart so truly knows You gave my words a place to dwell dear friends, I love you so~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |
