I go out of my way in the hope that
I may catch just a glimpse of you
Will you be on my train this morning
as I glance over the top
of my romantic novel
or will you pass me in the street
as we cross at the intersection

Maybe you'll be sitting on the  
park bench opposite me as I
feed the pigeons in the park
Didn't I see you last weekend as you
were surfing on the crest of the waves
under the warm golden sun
while I sat on the beach
looking out to sea

I'm sure I'll see you at the party
where I'll be tonight
You'll be the handsome young man
chatting to the beautiful blonde
with the stunning figure
as I watch you from where I sit
- alone in the corner

Unfortunately for me and my
vivid imagination you don't
even know I exist
So I'll just continue to live
inside my fantasy world
where I know you'll be
