So you say I am mad… Simply because I hear words Murmuring under currents Flowing over stone and gravel. Justified by the fact I see In shadows depths faces from A long ago or never was that Leer in indescribable glee At lamentable regrets Absolutely sure… In the knowledge I speak out loud Though softly To animals and trees as I pass So you say I am mad… Perhaps not as mad as I was Before the time of understanding Before the time of change Still… You hold on to me here With tightly cuffed shackles Your words chain me And you say I am mad? |

This is too intelligent an understanding of madness to think otherwise.... well done! |

CPatHair~ I like the symbolism in this piece~ 'Absolutely sure… In the knowledge I speak out loud Though softly To animals and trees as I pass' A nice read. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

uummmmm.lets see... If you are mad because you can "see" what is to be seen and "hear" what is to be heard I think that would make many of us your kin... If that's alright with you? |

There are so many unspoken vibes we emmit, when pinned down to a topic, or point, or reflection. Sometimes even the best communicators in the world, speak a different language underneath it all. I think it's because we haven't made peace with the subject yet. And who wants to be forced to? I like this poem and what it made me think about. Thank you! Sincerely, Regina |
