~Shadow Touching~

you reach out...grasping at nothingness
as a shadow touching that which it cannot feel
wanting that which it cannot possess

longing to hold onto something...anything
yet, as sand, sifting through the fingers
all reality slips away into emptiness

darkness swallows the void
shadows meld into ebony abyss
no longer reaching...slowly fading...gone

but never forgotten

very cool

I know no one is to blame
In time youll feel strength when you call my name
I know Ill never hold you again
And I know Ill never be the same

Shadows like dreams... fleeting things that give a hint of wishes or desires. Substantial... maybe.. but not obviously, yet obviously memorable. Shadows and light, binary opposites cannot exist without the other.. as we cannot exist without our dreams.. our wishes.. our shadows.
