Though blood from wounds within did dry The tears still came with words goodbye The nightmares from ones darkest sleep Had come to haunt and thoughts to keep The words that held the chest near numb Had hidden deep, had never come Regret, its stench, which drifts so long Had come from death, from love now gone |

This was a very harsh reality of parting aftermath. Very touching poem my friend. Glad to hear you're okay, as I had to wonder These are achingly painfull writes. But sometimes the pen does that. Sincerely, Regina [This message has been edited by rwood (edited 08-11-2001).] |

You've captured the harshness this moment sometimes holds, very well. |

Oh Rick, I truly enjoy the flow in your words. You've captured the essence of regret so succinctly ... very well written, much enjoyed! Best wishes, /Kit |

Some wounds never heal. Heartfelt and well written. "Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve" |
