when those wheels began to grind, the little engine heaved in pant; and heard the words within: "I can't." all the coal within turned chill. The little engine shed a tear-- without control--no engineer to switch the tracks avoiding cracks in the rails of frailty's fear. counting inches toward gain. Two feet--in measure--twenty-four... The engine thought: "I'll do ONE more." Churn-by-turn, seemingly still. So slow a climb, the world did stop. When suddenly, upon the top, of a mountain, Engine saw all that is and ever was and all that waits to be fulfilled... the engine dropped to coast downhill. Often the destination is not the most improtant part of our journey it is what we see and what we learn along the way. Your words tell me that you scale any hill, you can you can. Really enjoyed this read. shadows flicker sweet end tame |
