how it goes jiffy sprinklings are simply candy colorings on moments, bringing back what you were to me, what I still am to you even as birthday candles waxed under yellowing flames, I knew then you would be gone, soon sooner came too fast, as good things do, you scampered, girlhood escaping into a world scared, ready to conquer, but not knowing why I knew…but we had barriers that seem inherent when understanding that we are both wanting similar things, as life seemingly starts to set us apart so we can both grow… I think of tomato plants being thinned, roots dangling for moments in thin air, then with a rush of liquidity, and a warmth of earth, transplanting is complete boys and dads go through it, too how it goes, then, is that, sooner come later, words that my mother spoke come through lips belonging to you, and you wonder where your wrinkles came from, while thinking that I am now looking pretty good for someone you had to run away from and we are both new as under standings are seeded while you look at your child through my eyes and wonder if there will be time to change the mold… and knowing this is how it goes |

And so it does go - There MUST be a plan, eh? Sometimes it's too bad we can't be privy to it - Do you suppose that'd make life easier or more difficult?.. Rhetorical question, I guess... Nicely said, my sunny friend... |

A beautifully spun tale that encompasses all mother's and daughters I'm sure. Powerful words Sunshine...I enjoyed every one. Keep smiling! ~Krista "Poetry and Hums aren't things which you get, they're things which get you. |

Golden! Both for it's reality and motherly concern. I'm hanging on to mine as long as I can, but I feel her slipping 13 on me too fast. Loved this so much. Sincerely, Regina |
