If I Were the Sun If I were the sun, I’d embellish your face With light golden beams glowing down from the sky And spread out your petals to warmly embrace The smooth velvet layers that so mystify If I were a rain cloud, I’d drizzle the sweet and succulent wetness within every crease The water of life I would lay your feet And you’d drink of my cup of contentment and peace If I were a butterfly floating above I’d touch your soft petals with wing tip that glows Though sunbeams and raindrops and kisses of love Could never transfigure this most perfect rose Elizabeth Santos 8/8/01 |

Your cadence is a sunbeam streaming down and warming us with the flow of it! Fantastic! " I walked beside the evening sea And dreamed a dream that could not be" George William Curtis" |
