Cape Disappointment We do not usually equate The results of indecision With beauty. And yet, As the last of the spring freshets Doubt their appearance; And as the tide turns, bringing salt into the estuary, A melancholy light across the bay Wears the inhibition Of a bare, mud flat Yielding to the ocean's influence. As if to cite the difficulty, It stares, but looks away Persistently, as would a woman Turning from the mirror To a memory. RMW [This message has been edited by RMW (edited 07-13-2001).] |

Well poet sir... I do believe I liked the first the better... it had a quality which made me stretch my mind to encompass the whole of the image..and while this is lovely it lacks the element I so prized in the first... but we both know I am a bit crazy.. ;> |

Hey Cpat...thanks for the thought. You are probably right. But it's fun to tinker. Been enjoying your work. Bob |
