A thousand kisses upon your treasured lips A thousand whispers in the dark like this And still I am not satisfied A thousand prayers for a chance to wish These feelings not be denied It’s too late to turn back now, Nor would I, even if I knew how For the sun returns to the sky, And I have given all my heart will allow Yet I do not question why A voice like a flower’s fragrance so sweet, A chance to fall in love again when we meet That’s what I see beyond the door As I stand upon these frozen, aching feet; I’m not tired, but want you more A thousand times a thousand days And I will love you a thousand ways |

A thousand kisses upon your treasured lips A thousand whispers in the dark like this(oh damn, mercy)*L* And still I am not satisfied =========================== These feelings not be denied It’s too late to turn back now, Nor would I, even if I knew how For the sun returns to the sky, And I have given all my heart will allow Yet I do not question why =================================== That’s what I see beyond the door As I stand upon these frozen, aching feet; I’m not tired, but want you more A thousand times a thousand days And I will love you a thousand ways ======================================= I think I have read this one "a thousand" times by now *L* definately one of my favs..and one of your best, on a very long list...*S* This is a perfect example of what drew me(us all) to your poetry upon first read... your signature style is on display here... the very cool imagery,(the way you mix the imagery and the emotion) the perfect cadence, the poetic, romantic, intend...the conflict, the longing, passion, and devotion, the depth of the emote, laced with your gift to pen that subtle sensual ache.. so the reader feels every line. Any woman who appreciates/understands poetry waits her whole life to have something like this written for/about her... Beautiful PK... (two words...SUBMIT... PUBLISH) jm wont you sing me your poetry wont you take me to your home wont you be for me forever so Ill never be alone youre my dream, its a beautiful thing [This message has been edited by Janet Marie (edited 08-08-2001).] |

I love the idea of a thousand kisses, PK. And one day I hope to give them to the one I dream of. Beautiful poem. Maeve Take me home to Erin's shores, |
