This was written for a very dear friend.  Sunny - this one is for you!

                  Friendship

I have known you for a very short time,
    and to describe what you mean to me
        may take a lot of words of rhyme.

You were always there for me,
     you listened to my sad heart,
        and crying plea.

You held my hand and soothed my nerves,
     wiped away the tears,
        and calmed my fears.

Each day I would turn on the computer,
   check my mail and your name would appear,
     my day has begun, my soul mate, my friend,
       my computer sister with words of cheer.

We have never met, but exchanged pictures
    and e-mails by the reams.

Our past lives are similar with grown children,
    broken hearts and tattered dreams.

You are a beautiful, warm and a loving poet,
    and I cannot thank you enough for being
       my mentor and cohort.

Even though soon we will be oceans apart,
     you will always have a special place
        in my heart.

she is a lovely person and I so enjoyed this dedication to her, you are blessed indeed to have a friend who is there for you when you most need them.

Oh, this is so special...especially right now at this point in my life. Thank you so very very much for this beautiful poem of friendship, but you are far more than just a best friend....you are a sister! And the oceans in between can't change that! And time only makes the bonds stronger....thank you my sister......

Titia:  Thank you for your kind words.  Yes, she is a very special friend and I am glad you liked it.

Irish Rose: Sunny has always been there for me and I knew that I was blessed the first time I spoke to her on the phone.   Thank you.

Sunny: You are welcome.  Remember you are #1 in my book.
