Coming gently on window panes.
Ever before the sun comes up,
Speaking slowly of serenity's sup.
Nothing as dear as a morning drip,
To begin a day with a joyous trip.
Ever before the sun comes up,
Join me now in nature's cup.
Nothing so soothing as this here,
This steady sprinkling coming near.
Ever before the sun comes up,
Speaking slowly of serenity's cup.
And now before the sun comes up,
Join me smiling in nature's cup.

Ah what's not to enjoy about a morning shower in summer time? I enjoyed the poem..and the images.. nicely done!

lovely, I love a gentle rain in which to walk or through which to listen...last evening, we had a 25 minute severe thunderstorm...nothing gentle there 'cept maybe me.

now I have all this dead wood to clean up from the yard.

and I love the rain too, Jenn, and wrapping myself up in blankets and reading a great book and well, just dreaming. Thank you for reminding me of all of that!

Once again, gentle maid, better and better you do. I love to walk the woods or the beach when the rain is drifting down, lost in my thoughts of all before and what was is..very gentle smile..nice read

Like a silent waterfall, this melody is enchanting. I love your rhythm and rhymes and its fluid silky touch. I'm new here and I'm looking forward to reading more of your works of art.
