If we had chosen then to live this way To lace our nights with fringe of velvet fear Allowing deep desires to live instead Of folding up the night when morning’s near While stars will mystify the watching eye With spinning all my senses as they will Perhaps I should not have notions to fly Being anchored in concrete and steel I could have freely opened up the gate Escaping into the next morning’s light To live far beyond an endless night’s wait To walk into the garden of delight With skin paled stretched on fragile bones passed youth Can’t wait for dawning, drowning in dreams truth. Gloom Inspired by Elizabeth Santos’ “If We Had Loved - A Sonnet” Actually I have taken a bit of liberty with her excellent work. I hope she doesn’t mind. |

You were well inspired, I went to read Elizabeth's and got where you decided to go, and when you did your images were wonderful as usual. Thank you for a great read! ~To see real beauty you must first look with your heart~ |
