I Will Never Say Goodbye

They buried you
on Nottingham Hill today.
Under the grass,
the flowers,
the flowers,
the cards,
the tears,
the kisses goodbye,
under all of that
they left you to lay.
In your bed
of satin and white,
pink trim and tiny flowers,
dressed in the silk, oriental robe
that you loved,
they left you to lay.
They said Goodbye,
and they left you to lay.
But I will never say Goodbye,
not this morning,
not this day,
not ever again.
I will just walk away,
like any other morning,
when it was our bed in which you lay.
I never truly left you then,
I will never truly leave you now...
I'll just walk away
from this bed in which you lay,
loving you as I leave,
loving you till I see you,
again.
