Our pride of a marriage sleeps Quietly in the arms of night On her bed of security Embracing the enchantments of dream A face of calm In a peace filled room Dimly lit by a watchful light The bed sheets tossed and twisted I straighten her bed I draw the blind while saying Goodnight darling Daddy loves you lots Lots and lots No reply But I feel she will sleep sounder with my love With the same words that fill her room each night I love you darling I love you |
